Dr. Arun Pandurang Mali is a saint associated with the University of Mumbai. Gonsalo Garcia has been working as an Assistant Professor at Vasai College for 27 years since 1993.

Professor Arun Mali is guiding a total of four students for PhD in ‘Rural Development’.

A total of twelve of his dissertations have been published in national and international journals and one short dissertation has been submitted to the University of Mumbai.

Since 2006, he has been the coordinator of the postgraduate department of St. Gonzalo Garcia College

Head of Sports and Discipline Department of the College, active participation in the Department of Culture.

He has been teaching at St. Joseph’s College, Satpala, Virar, West for four years from 1997 to 2000.

Professor Arun Mali was born in a farmer’s family and hails from Shirgaon, Taluka, District Palghar. A. Economics and Rural Development, M.A., Rural Development, p. H. D. These degrees are obtained in rural development. He has 22 years of experience in research and training in the field of higher education.

Apart from education, he has been involved in many social activities and has worked for twenty years as a program officer and department coordinator of the National Service Scheme. He has been honored as Outstanding Program Officer by the Department of National Service Planning, University of Mumbai. In the National Service Scheme, he has organized residential camps as well as district level, university level and state level camps through which he has convinced the students of the importance of various subjects like organic farming, public health, women empowerment, Panchayat Raj, employment training for tribal youth etc.

Founder and Treasurer of Global Approach for Rural Development, an NGO dedicated to increasing the participation of graduate tribal youth in the social and economic transformation of tribal society.

He is actively involved in the establishment of 18 self help groups in Rangaon Gram Panchayat in Vasai taluka.

He was the manager of Padmashree Anutai Wagh’s Gram Mangal for two years from 1991 to 1992.
